Party games where Android and iPhone play together
Every group has both: iPhones, Samsungs, Pixels, whatever was on sale. Many party games assume one shared phone, one big screen or everyone on the same platform. Mesh Party lets each person play on their own phone, whatever it is.
Why mixed groups struggle
- Pass-the-phone apps run on one device, so everyone waits their turn and stares at one screen.
- TV party games need a big screen, Wi-Fi and often internet.
- Local play built on Apple's or Google's own tech usually stays inside one ecosystem.
Mesh Party uses plain Bluetooth Low Energy, which every modern Android phone and iPhone supports, with its own small mesh protocol on top. The host creates a room; the others scan its QR code or pick it from the nearby list.
What you can play
- Truth or Dare (2–12 players): every round each player writes their own truth questions and dares, the wheel picks who goes next, and the group votes on whether the dare was done.
- Who Am I? (3–10): the others give you a character; you see everyone's but your own and guess yours with yes/no questions.
- Mind Match (2–10): everyone secretly answers the same question; matching answers score.
- Two Truths and a Lie (3–10): write two true facts about yourself and one lie, and the group votes to find the lie.
Good to know
- Keep everyone in one room: Bluetooth range is roughly 10–30 m.
- No accounts. Rooms can have an optional 4-digit passcode.
- Internet is only needed to install the app.
