Mesh Party › Guides
A Truth or Dare app that works offline
Most Truth or Dare apps are one phone passed around with a generic deck. In Mesh Party everyone plays on their own phone, writes their own questions and votes, and it all runs over Bluetooth with no internet.
How it works
- Turn on Bluetooth. No Wi-Fi needed.
- The host creates a room, optionally with a 4-digit passcode.
- Friends join by QR code or from the list of nearby rooms. Up to 12 players, iPhone and Android together.
- Every round each player writes at least one truth question and one dare.
- The wheel picks a player, who chooses truth or dare. After a dare, the group votes on whether it was done, and a completed task earns a point.

Offline vs online vs paper
- Online apps need a connection and send your data to a server.
- Paper cards have to be printed and carried, with no voting and no score.
- Mesh Party runs over Bluetooth, keeps the questions on your phones, and the questions are your group's own.
